Today we took a boat cruise, Lighthouse and Nature, and the weather was perfect for picture taking. The harbor was filled with yachts, lobster boats and sail boats. We passed several huge houses, one being Martha Stewart's house. You could only see the 4 chimneys on her house, but we did get a good photo of John D. Rockefeller's cottages. This is also the location where Nelson Rockefeller was born. We passed 5 light houses, three of them were privately owned and 1 was owned by the Conservatory. The Conservatory one was boarded up. There were lots of sea gulls at many of them. The water was beautiful and as pictured above, we saw many sail boats. There were having a race. Notice the hills in the background. This island is very big and the water is very blue. Although at one point we looked in the water and it was red. They are having a "red tide" now. We also went by Thunder Hole, which spouts water. They saw it spouts about 1 time every three years, but by the advertisements you would think it was comparable to "Old Faithful." We did see about 4 seals in the water, but we were not far enough out to see the whales. They have several sharks in the waters here also. We had dinner with Dennis and Anna Carey. This is there last night here and they are heading home. We will miss them. We came back by the harbor before returning the the coach and the sail boat with the red sails was out and the sun was hitting it just perfect. Bill took several pictures. We had a very good day and look forward to more sightseeing tomorrow.
